English Heritage (2019)
Illustration, Animation & Design
I was asked to produce all visual elements for an English Heritage tender submission. I proposed to use a blend of archive imagery and animation to bring the story of the Richmond 16 to life. Archive material retained a historical feel, whilst animation breathed energy and humour into the story - emphasising the universal human elements.
The style of the film was to be simple and uncluttered, a single panning shot moving across a visual flow chart. The colour palate warm and welcoming, designed to match the aesthetic of the physical presentation by Anonymous Associates. The goal was to create a clear and concise presentation of the Richmond 16 that would leave people inspired but also engaged, ready to take part in a wider debate with other visitors.
